Do children have time for homework?
Yes. We understand that homework is an important part of many families' routines. Peak provides dedicated homework and quiet study time each day, along with staff support when needed. While we encourage students to complete as much of their homework as possible during program hours, our goal is not simply to finish assignments—it is to help children develop responsibility, organization, and independent study skills while maintaining a positive balance between academics and recreation.

-
Is transportation provided?
Yes. Peak coordinates transportation and student transitions from participating schools to our program locations. We work closely with schools to ensure children arrive safely and are accounted for during every transition. Transportation procedures may vary depending on the school and location, and families will receive detailed information before the program begins.
-
Do you provide snacks?
Students have the option to purchase snacks from our Snack Shack for $1 per item. Families are also welcome to send a snack from home each day. We encourage healthy snack choices and ask families to notify us of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical concerns during enrollment so we can help support their child's needs.
-
What if my child is absent?
If your child will be absent from school or will not be attending Peak on a scheduled day, we ask that families notify us as soon as possible. Maintaining accurate attendance is a critical part of our safety procedures, and communication helps us ensure that every child is accounted for during school pick-up and arrival.
-
Can my child bring a phone or smartwatch?
Yes. Students may bring personal devices such as phones or smartwatches. However, we encourage students to remain engaged in program activities and interactions with their peers. Devices should remain put away during program hours unless being used for communication with a parent, educational purposes, or another approved reason. Peak is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal devices.
-
Can siblings stay together?
We recognize that many families appreciate opportunities for siblings to spend time together. For licensing purposes, consistent age group combinations are not typically allowed, and students are generally grouped according to age and developmental needs. We often provide opportunities for siblings to interact during free play, special events, and certain activities. Our primary goal is to ensure that every child is participating in experiences that are appropriate, engaging, and beneficial for their age group.
-
What happens if I am late for pick-up?
We understand that unexpected situations can occur. If you anticipate being late, please contact the program as soon as possible. Staff members remain with students until they are safely picked up; however, late pick-up fees may apply for pickups that occur after 6:05 PM. Consistent communication helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and staff.
-
Can someone else pick up my child?
Yes. Children may be released to authorized individuals listed on the child's account. For the safety of our students, staff may request identification before releasing a child to someone who is not regularly involved in pick-up. We encourage families to keep their authorized pick-up information current throughout the year.
